Waiting periods really suck. We want what we want right now. We wish we had all of our hopes and dreams as soon as we asked God for them. But, many times there is a waiting period attached to our promises. Sometimes the greater the dream, the greater the period of time it will take to prepare.
During the waiting period, it is easy to get discouraged, lose our focus, and create walls in our hearts to protect us just “in case” the thing we are hoping for doesn’t happen.
I wanted to remind you that yes, you will reach your destination. What is in your heart is there for a reason and God is going to show up and show out. But for now, believe and have the faith to start building the arc even before the rain comes.
This discouragement you feel is actually part of the process. It is molding you and shaping you and it is letting you know that there is an enemy that knows that your promise is real.
When you receive what you want so badly, you will look back and see the hand-print of God. You will see why all of this transpired and you will probably wish that you had put discouragement away, trusted God more, and enjoyed the life that you had during this period.
So do just that! Refuse to believe that God won’t come through for you. Get settled and prepare for your season of increase and allow God to do a work in your heart even now.
One day, you would have reached your destination and it will all have been worth it.
