Our culture teaches us that we have control over our lives. That we have the power to make our own decisions, hustle and climb the ladder, and do whatever we think we want to do.
This is the reason that we have so many broken careers, broken relationships, money problems, broken families, etc. We are running our own lives.
What a different society we would have if everyone was waiting on God.
When we surrender our lives over to Christ, we can truly start to know the life that he intended us to have. He intended for us to live our lives through him.
He wants to be the CEO in your life.
When you live in this way, you are okay with waiting on God. You wait on him to show you what your career, education, and spouse should be. You wait on him when you need a miracle. Instead of leaving your relationships, you wait on him for instructions on how to restore it.
What is really yours will eventually make it to you in the right time. There is no reason for us to try to put our lives together. We couldn’t possibly put our lives together in the best way, without his guidance.
Instead of being impatient to gain what is rightfully yours, try a different technique.
Allow him to take as long as he needs and ask him what to do in the waiting. You’ll soon realize that there is much to be developed in this season before all those promises come tumbling down.
This is the season where you learn about yourself and you become someone that is ready for what he has planned for your life. What is yours will happen, so get comfortable, believe it and soon you will receive it.
