There are many prophecies and many things that God wanted to come to pass for people that could never make it past their permission.
In other words, at some point they gave God permission. They said, God I need you in this! Help me find the one I should marry and they were listening until it got hard and required a process different than the way they thought it should be.
Or God I want to be used by you and he showed them they were called but they never took up the baton.
You name it.
God wants to do his perfect will in people. I believe his divine will is that people find freedom from bondage emotionally and personally.
But in order to do that they have to open their arms and allow God to be able to do WHATEVER it is he believes is best.
And sometimes Gods best requires that we surrender what we believe and continually seek his will and his desire.
