The problem that we have the most, is realizing that it is not about us, our wants or needs. Its about him.
As a culture, we are so “us” focused.
We are focused mostly on what we want to change so badly.
I have heard the scripture so much But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you..
I know many people who rested on that scripture when they were believing God for their spouse. They determined to put God first knowing that he himself would take care of all of the things concerning them.
Sometimes we are so “us” focused because our trust is so low not realizing that we have every reason for our trust to be high. God doesnt do a bad job of taking care of people. Its actually us who have done a bad job of taking care of us.
In our search to find all that we want, we only get more focused on what we want.
The more we turn our gaze to him, the more he gets the glory in our lives.
Its not about you. Its about him.
