There is one thing that keeps many people from God being able to build an absolute masterpiece in their life. That is Arrogance. Pride.
And anything that exalts itself above God is neither humble nor wise.
There are many people that are given just a little nugget from God.
He showed them the woman. He showed them the career. He showed them the ministry. He showed them how to get out of bondage.
But they aren’t courageous or sensitive enough to know who he is enough to do it. Instead, they have decided what they will believe.
There was someone that I was praying for the other day. God showed me that in the area of this persons love life that they were literally telling themselves something. They were telling themself what to believe.
Even though their spirit was saying something different. They had concluded through reason ( I guess) what to believe about the situation and they were convincing themselves on purpose.
It seems so odd but that is how many make decisions.
But unfortunately, because I know what God was trying to do in this area of their life. Complete Deliverance. A marriage in Gods perfect will. Children brought up that were of a different spirit. (Numbers 14:24)
But instead they were going to end up having a good life but not the one that God was trying to do for them. The kind that requires that we surrender to a unique plan just for us and enter into what God is doing instead of requiring him to put a stamp of approval on our choices.
Humility before God.
That is what it takes to truly listen to the spirit of God. Because that spirit will humble you. It will go against your flesh. It will cause you to be pruned and it will cause you to start making the right decisions. It will correct a bad attitude.
But one thing it wont do is leave you the same.
