There are many of you that have amazing gifts in God. Some of them are undefined, meaning you dont yet know what they are, how to operate in them and they are unfamiliar territory because you have never seen someone operate in the role you are operating in.
Here are some wonderful pointers for you gifted people
- Realize you don’t know it all- In other words, leave pride at the door. The great thing is you don’t have to know it all. You can be bad at something new. You can develop and grow and admit you don’t know it all. But you have the greatest teacher ever by your side to help you. He will lead you and guide you. A great place to learn how to operate your gift is in the word.
- Don’t give up- We can all make mistakes and in fact we are prone to it! Especially if we don’t know what we are doing. God wants you to be okay with making mistakes and realize that HE loves you. He is not looking over your shoulder to see if you cross every t and dot every i. Instead he is going to catch you when you fall and he will send people to help you when you need it. The main thing to remember is to keep going no matter how bad the fall so that your gift becomes perfected within you. One day you will be an expert in this and you’ll be an amateurs’ at something new.
- Trust God – This should be a duh! Trust God. Even if you don’t know it all, even if you don’t know what to do or you don’t have everyone you want, he is going to help you. He is going to make you prosperous.
- Have Patience- Let patience have its perfect work! It takes a while to learn a craft.
- Surround yourself with spirit filled believers- Surround yourself with all types of people who are spirit filled so that you can learn from them. Surround yourself with people who have your particular gift and those that dont. And most importantly surround yourself with leadership that will let you know if you are out of line with the culture of the church. Authority matters and submitting your gift will cause you to not be in error.
- Follow God- Spend plenty of time with God and submit what you have found to those around you that are called to the same office you are called to. This will help you to stay on track and understand what the will of the Lord is!
- Congratulate Yourself! Not really lol. But celebrate the little successes. Celebrate what God is doing through you and STAY excited.
- Walk in Love- Giftings should be walked out in love because that is the heart of JESUS! He is always redeeming people who others have thrown away. Just because we may know something does not mean that is the whole story. It may be just a part of the story to help them to get to a place where they understand the love of God for their lives.
- Learn wisdom concerning your gift- No matter what your gift is and how on target it could be if it is delivered wrong it may not be taken as intended. God uses his vessels to get his will across, but it is up to us to seek him on how to do that. A lot of wisdom on how to deal with people is in the word of God. We should study on how to do that and walk it our in our lives. Also talking to others around us on how to walk in wisdom can help us know what the best approach is.
