I can remember when Isaiah 35 used to minister to me so much. I can remember this was one of the things I would read over my life. I was believing God that MY desert would blossom like a pretty little rose. I imagine some beautiful pink roses in the place of a place that was a hard desert land.
On Saturday at Auburn Hills Christian Center Debra was praying over me and she was seeing this scripture text in action. Thank you God that we dont just pray things but you answer. And when the time is right our prayers turn into the answers that we have so desperately desired.
We have hoped against hope just like Abraham though we saw no way out. We had people looking at us telling us to make a more logical decision than trusting God for an absolute radical blessing. We had the capacity within us to believe God for something we had not ever really seen yet.
We had the capacity to look at people who had not made it out of where we were and say I dont know how but that wont be my story. I AM going to win.
Debra was seeing streams coming forth and seeing the desert places that were receiving water.
And I believe that for you, too.
This life is filled with complicated scenarios. Things that we dont know how to manage. Things that require faith of powerful women who refuse to stop staying up late at night praying for our families and loved ones. We are the ones that others can trust and we are the ones that have built the kind of relationship with God that reaps way more benefits than having millions in the stock market. We know Jesus and at the touch of his hands we know that our loved ones can be made whole. We know that although we are wreathing in emotional pain that one day our hope WILL become a reality because we have built the kind of relationship with God that we KNOW That he comes through as good.
I am so excited for you. I am excited that there are places in your life that you cried so much over and now you are about to laugh so much. Thank God for what he is doing in your life.
Below is Isaiah 35. Take a moment to read this out loud over your own life honey.
ISAIAH 35
35 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
