You are your strongest when you are looking at yourself just like you are-not puffed up greater than what you are and not thinking of yourself less than what you are. The bible tells us to look in Gods mirror ( not comparing to others) to see who we really are. Checking in with God and allowing him to lead us, see who we really are and where we are can be really helpful in dealing with right-now situations.
Could you imagine making a business plan for a multi million dollar project and doing so without knowing the facts or details about the company.?Instead of pulling the sales numbers for the company, the revenue or expected revenue, someone just decided to make up numbers. The funny thing is sometimes I have seen people do that. We may not really want to see ourselves like we really are. We don’t want to take inventory of things like they stand because maybe then we would have to deal with taking accountability for some of it. On the flip side, what if a company short changes themselves and makes a business plan with too little goals, so they stunt their own growth. Just like that company would be short changing themselves, we can do that, too. We can forget to take inventory of the strengths we have and the impact we have made which causes us not to take chances on becoming better and making an even bigger difference.
When you see yourself as you really are, then you can deal with yourself and situations by taking accountability in the right places and building yourself up in the right places. You aren’t afraid to recognize your strengths in a situation but you are also aware of places of improvement. It is detrimental to living our best lives when we try to shield our self from criticism. We may unintentionally do this by not asking his opinion or not obeying what he has already been speaking to our hearts. We may do this by not turning the finger on ourselves when we are faced with uncomfortable situations.
