There is a tug of war going on in our world. Whose voice will win? Whose voice will be more powerful? Will Christians fight to speak or will they choose to remain passive, depend on God to do what they could do, and in so doing allow the enemy to take more territory?
In your own life you may notice that when you try to speak up things become increasingly harder. Many groups love you when you are passive, allowing the people who believe they are the ones who should speak to have a voice. Sometimes as soon as you speak up, chaos enters the room. 😛
I am a big proponent of the voices of two types of people being heard. Those carrying the truth and those who have been victims. Unfortunately, both of these types of voices tend to have big consequences when they speak. They must becomes courageous, tough, and have a no care attitude to not be silenced.
When you speak things change. Change is disruptive and so is a voice of love and truth.
My hope for many women and men who have had their voices taken away or been taught that keeping quiet is somehow a badge of honor would be bold and courageous to speak out loud.
And keep speaking.
And keep speaking.
And then find a microphone.
And keep speaking, baby.
