As someone that has dealt in this area for a long time I have come in contact with many people and many stories. I have spent years researching and being taught by God in this area.
There are many sitting on prophetic promises that haven’t had a chance to be born because it required action on the part of the one who received it. IT required faithful obedience and stewardship.
Some will say that a word over their life will come to pass no matter what in order to stay stagnant, not try and to stay in disobedience. They are saying I dont have to do anything. IF its God, it will happen. And you are right, there are some words that operate in this way. But many are given into the hands of men as promises that need careful stewardship.
There can be many steps to a prophetic word and there are also reasons that a prophetic word could be struck down or lost. In 1 Corinthians it states that there will be prophecies that fail. But God can’t fail.
They fail because of the lack of humans taking what they have been given to God, stewarding the word, trusting, believing and acting.
Sometimes prophetic words are stating the heart of God. They are stating what God wants and desires to give to you. They usually dont state the process that is needed to get to them. And some people were on the right road within the four walls of the church and then they got distracted and are no longer walking with the Lord as they once were.
There is so much to this and maybe one day I will go into why the bible says that a word could be snatched up by the enemy or simply be lost because of careless human before. But for now just know that you can trust God with your prophetic words. You dont have to live in fear and worry and you can safely trust that he will lead you if there are things that you need to do to start walking toward what God has for you.
