When I got up this morning, I just knew I was supposed to write this blog post (I feel a burden for people lately in the area of praying for them for a spouse/children.) Is it a weird one?
Yes, according to some people. I have actually heard great Christians discourage people from doing this very thing. But I have also known of too many people who God has answered prayers that caused beautiful Godly marriages and blessed their lives for their entire life. That is what the goal of this post is: to let you realize that the possibility is there for you, too.
There are too many people floundering around dating the way the world wants us to do. They aren’t taking God with them. They are leaning on themselves without hope, without purpose, without the protection of God. They need a Savior to come in and help them. Their situations and childhood stories did not lay the best foundation for them, they need the solid rock of Christ to help them maneuver this journey.
This world wants to keep prayer out of our dating lives. They want to tell you not to listen to the still small voice of God the way that you do in other areas. They want to warn you to be careful. But the truth is, we need God more, and not less in this area.
It’s a weird concept for some. You’ll be waiting your whole life! Don’t you know that is not how we do it.
But there are some people who have found their husbands through prayer. They didn’t just consider their options and go from person to person. They prayed and then waited on God.
And if you need an absolute miracle in prayer in this area, then you can trust God to put together the details. Then you will be one of the ones blessed with a marriage arranged by God, the choice up to him. All to the glory of God.
Here are some things to remember when God brings you your mate through prayer.
God will show you who is it
When you have the spirit of God inside of you, he allows you to know what is best for you at the right times and if he is showing you who it is then that means that it is time for you to know.
Don’t be surprised when God answers. Don’t allow fear to keep you from it.
Sometimes God answers our prayers and we are in awe that it happens. People analyze the goodness of God and allow fear to keep them from moving forward. Dont miss what he sends because you cant believe he did what he did.
Have Faith in God
Take a leap of faith. This is the one that God has brought to you. There is no reason to fear.Just like you had faith to pray for the promised one, have faith that God is going to see you through.
Cover it in Prayer
The enemy seeks to kill, steal and destroy and just like God has a plan for you, he is aware of the things that can bring you down. Cover your situation and your marriage in prayer.
