I believe mentality can create or destroy. Many times people that are fearful start seeing their fears come to life. They may worry that they won’t be able to handle a situation and get overwhelmed and recreate what they already believed in their mind. But someone can also turn around and decide that they are going to do better, they can handle things, they can be a good parent, they can make their first million, and many times things will more easily start moving in that direction.
If you don’t believe you can do anything, chances are you wont. You wont have the confidence to take the opportunities presented to you by the horns. You may think everyone is against you, so when someone is you freak out and focus on that instead of the many people patting you on the back.
On the flip side, If you start believing things will happen, many times they do. A great mentality will start manifesting great things which will create a better life. There is no way to achieve anything great without first creating it through your mentality. (Although I get that miracles and exceptions can happen but many times those can happen from a belief as well)
I mentioned in one of my previous blog posts that I used to practice creative visualization. This is literally sitting down and picturing yourself winning. It creates a positive outcome instead of the negative ones that pain and anxiety can sometimes cause us to believe. It’s seeing yourself getting to the finish line before you reach it. The greatest people, I believe, saw themselves in their roles before they ever got there. They may have sensed they belonged there and believed it before others ever saw them get there.
Many people can never trust again after a painful breakup because the pain keeps creating scenarios in their minds over and over. They haven’t painted a new better picture for themselves. They may see themselves as the janitor , so they never make it to CEO. They’ve accepted without even realizing it that this is all they will ever be.
Many times because our culture and upbringings have created our mentalities, we may have to step in and “create” better. We may have to create mental pictures of our lives that will be worth replicating.
What if you started seeing yourself better? What if you created a picture in your mind and truly believed that you would win? What if you believed that people saw the best in you and that people liked you? What if you believed that you could attract the right person? What if you believed that you could be the person you want to become?
Why don’t you start creating your life by seeing differently?
