There will be times when we will have to do what is right through the hurting.
We know in our minds what the answer to our situation is, but to keep walking in that direction will require us to be open where we would rather close up.
We may want to go back to a place of living defensively and holding our arms around ourselves. God may be trying to get you to get out of the boat and trust him despite the emotions going on inside of you.
In order to get over a place of hurt you have to learn how to walk again in that area.
If you stay cradling yourself you will never get off the floor. This time, you have to learn that even though you know that you could find hurt in your future, that you are going to trust God to lead you, help you, and allow you to grow back stronger than you were before the hurt happened.
God doesn’t want you to stay unhealed. He wants you to stretch out your withered hand and become whole.
But stretching out that withered hand may hurt to do so because for so long you have kept it mangled close to your side. He wants you to know that if you try to do what is right, he will be there to meet you and to mend you. He wants you to know that it is him guiding you through as you learn how to walk in a healed arena.
I know what it is like to be scared out of my mind to trust again, to love again and to be me again. I know what it is like to lose what I thought was everything I had. And I know what it is like to be restored again and to walk in what seems like a completely different life.
As you are learning to walk again I know it wont be easy, but I can tell you that it will be worth it. This time just like every other time, he will come through for you. If you think you have too much against you, I wanted to remind you that you have too much FOR you. If all you have is God for you, You have way too much going for you to not make it.
Keep doing what is right. Keep standing and I promise you what is yours will happen.
