There are some Christians who have decided to risk all and live in radical obedience to God. Many people come to mind that chose to commit to a purpose that did not make sense to those around them and they were able to achieve greatness only because of the divinity of God.
Some of us may not desire to be “great” and that is okay. Maybe you aren’t striving for anything magnificent but you just want to learn how to have a life that isn’t hanging on by a thread.
Radical obedience is scary. It is following whatever you believe the Lord to be leading you to do. It is risking your comfort, your beliefs, in order to follow the God that is Lord over your life.
Radical Obedience caused me to come in contact with some radical blessings over the past couple of years. Blessings that I didn’t think I would ever see. Things that required me to do hard things, that really hurt internally at the time but caused me to walk into areas of my life that I had been striving within my own power to get to for years.
I would sit down on my floor in my little room with my bible out, my candle lit, and my journal in place and say, “Okay, God. What do you want me to do?” I would write down what I believed he wanted me to do and I would go do it.
Many times Christians ask him to lead them but when he speaks, they don’t follow. Radical Obedience isn’t afraid to follow God. It is afraid not to.
